Arrival by plane


Scheduled flights operate from Zurich to Athens and Thessalonica with connections to Kalamata. Then by rental car or taxi to Chrani (from Athens about 3 hours and from Kalamata 30min).

Arrival by car-ferry


Car-ferries depart regularly and on various weekdays throughout the whole year from Venice, Trieste, Ancona and Brindisi to Patras.

The sea crossing takes between 19 and 48 hours depending on type of ferry and departure point. The final leg of the journey by car to Chrani takes about 3 hours.

Highly recommended and an unforgettable experience is the crossing from Venice. The ships are docked close to the old town and sail a considerable time through this beautiful city past the Markus Square and many other impressive places of interest.

Arrival by bus


Buses depart every 30 minutes from the new airport in Athens to the bus terminal “Peloponnese” and from there further to Kalamata.
The bus ride to Kalamata, and the direct bus to Chrani, takes between 3.5 to 4 hours.
Changing buses in Kalamata (direction Koroni) is uncomplicated.

Complete fares from Athens are about CHF 30. - / € 20.-
The bus service in Greece is relatively often, and therefore it is not a problem to visit neighbouring areas or for taking day-trips.
